Beschrijving

This piece is based around the theme of ‘funeral music’ but in a contemporary style. Epitaph is based on a short rhythmical motif which gradually develops into a climax. A lyrical trio follows this climax before the rhythmical introduction returns. This is an unusual piece in the repertoire for piano duet.
