Den fünf Choralbearbeitungen von Esquisses Grégoriennes liegt der jeweils im Titel genannte Cantus firmus zugrunde. Sie können wie folgt in den Messablauf integriert werden: Nos autem zum Einzug, Ave maris stella zum Gabenbereitung, Pater noster zum Hochgebet, Ave verum zur Kommunion und Filii et Filiae zum Auszug.

The five choral arrangements of ‘Esquisses Grégoriennes’ are based on the cantus firmus mentioned in each title. They can be integrated in the course of the mass as follows: ‘Nos autem’ at the entry, ‘Ave maris stella’ at the offertory, ‘Pater noster’ at the high prayer, ‘Ave verum’ at the communion, and ‘Filii et Filiae’ at the dismissal.
