Eindelijk! De bladmuziek van Eind augustus 2021 is het zover. In het Londense West End gaat de nieuwe musical in premiere gebaseerd op het verhaal van Assepoester. Andrew Lloyd-webber brengt het klassieke sprooje in een meer tijdloze vorm met een moderner hoofdpersonage. Het verhaal van Assepoester is niet nieuw want het inmiddels meerdere keren verfilmd en op het toneel gebracht. De meest bekende versie is de tekenfilm van Disney uit 1950.
Niet alleen in London ook in Nederland worden er halverwege augustus uitvoeringen gegeven in het Gillian Lynn Theatre.
